Is Your Air Conditioning on the Decline?

Blog Cover that reads

July 3rd through August 15th are Air Conditioning Appreciation Days. Your AC doesn’t just receive one day of recognition…and for good reason! With the dog days of summer upon us, we are grateful for this invention. Is your air conditioning ready for the heat or is it on the decline? If you answer yes to one or more of the following, it may be time to replace your unit.

Experiencing inconsistent airflow and uneven cooling?

A new part or filter could fix this issue, if ignored, your unit could also stop working altogether.

Hearing strange noises?

Again, a new filter may solve the problem, if dust buildup is the culprit, however it could be more serious, an issue with the motor for instance.

Smelling electrical/burning type odors?

Mold and mildew can form on your air conditioning’s evaporator coil and/or in the drip pan, resulting in a musty smell. A thorough cleaning of the outside unit can help alleviate this issue. Electrical type odors may indicate a wiring problem which is a potential fire hazard.

Seeing a sudden surge in the utility bill?

Your system could be working overtime trying to cool your home; in doing so, more energy is used, yielding a higher electricity bill.
